Shared Custody During COVID-19

During these unusual times of isolation and social distancing, divorced couples who share custody of children are wondering what rules they need to follow regarding visitation.

Saskatchewan’s Chief Medical Health Officer, Doctor Saquib Shahab recently spoke to the matter at a press conference. He said,”My recommendation is that if you have a situation where there is shared custody, obviously both parents should minimize physical distancing. Each household should minimize mixing with other households. But, as two households with custody shared, as long as no one is any household is symptomatic, the child is free to move back and forth.”
