June 2019: Joseph Miotke, Charles Sara and Christopher Scherer of Wisconsin member firm DeWitt have been named 2019 intellectual property “stars” by Managing Intellectual Property magazine. Mr. Miotke practices from the firm’s Milwaukee office and specializes in intellectual property law, international law, litigation and patent litigation. Mr. Sara practices from the firm’s Madison office and specializes in intellectual property and international law. And Mr. Scherer is co-chair of the firm’s intellectual property group and practices from its Milwaukee office, specializing in intellectual property and international law.

March 2019: Howard Schoenfeld and David Schwartz of Wisconsin member firm DeWitt have been named members of the Top 100 Trial Lawyers in Wisconsin by the National Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Schoenfeld, who has been included as a member for 13 years, has practiced for more than 30 years in both state and federal courts. He frequently represents clients in a wide array of litigation matters ranging from civil rights issues to violations of constitutional rights, building defects, and personal injuries. He earned his J.D. at the University of Wisconsin Law School. Mr. Schwartz, who has been included as a member for six years, is a practicing litigator with nearly 40 years of experience representing clients successfully in a variety of civil litigation disputes. He specializes in personal injury, medical negligence, worker’s compensation, and general civil litigation including commercial real estate litigation. He is a graduate of the University of South Dakota School of Law.

February 2019: Christopher Scherer of Wisconsin member firm DeWitt has been recognized by Lexology in its 2019 Client Choice Awards for Excellence in Client Service. The Client Choice Awards recognize partners around the world that stand apart for the excellent client service they provide. Mr. Scherer is co-chair of the firm’s intellectual property group. His domestic and international practice involves all facets of IP law, especially patent and trademark prosecution. Mr. Scherer also serves as in-house counsel on a contract basis for clients, where he manages IP portfolios, outside counsel and litigation matters as they arise. An active member of the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI), he was awarded his J.D. by the John Marshall Law School.
